A Question for the Readers

Recently I was glancing through an old Parenting magazine and came across the following information:

"More babies are born on Tuesdays than any other day."

Now it just so happens that my babies WERE born on a Tuesday! And I'm kind of thinking I was born on a Tuesday too, although I could be wrong about that.

So I'm curious, on what day of the week were you and/or your babies born?

Hm, this is interesting.
I happen to have been born on a Tuesday. Cody was born on a Wednesday. And this, what I am most in awe of, is that all 3 of my children were born on a Thursday...which is pretty impressive considering they are all 2 years apart and not multiples like yours.
I didn't even realize they were all born on Thursdays until you asked this question and it suddenly came into focus (I double checked to make sure I was right.)

This is fun - I started looking up all the birthdays in my family. So far no Tuesdays, but it turns out every one of my mom's kids and grandkids was born on a Thursday. Pretty cool.

Huh. I've never heard that. Well, here are our stats :)

- The girls (GGGG) were born on a Tuesday.
- Our boy was born on a Monday. That's pretty close though.
- Looking online it looks like I was born on a Saturday and my hubby on a Sunday.

Have fun!

I was born on a Sunday, but both you & Jodie were born on Tuesdays. However, I was induced with both of you so you were delivered by appointment. I believe the doctor picked Tuesday for inducements for his convenience!

My twins were born on a Tuesday. Though I am not sure they should count - they were rudely evicted from their cush surroudings via induction. They would have happily stayed put longer. And I even repeatedly volunteered to let them continue their residence longer, too. The Dr. said no.

My mom already posted my Tuesday birthday, but here's an April 2009 quote from babycenter.com:

The most popular day for babies to make their entrance? It's now Wednesday. (This is the first year since at least 1990 that Tuesday wasn't the biggest birth day.) There were 15.4 percent more births on Wednesday than on the average day.

Sunday is the slowest day, with 35.1 fewer births than average. The fact that far fewer babies were born on the weekend may be influenced partly by scheduled labor induction and c-sections, according to the CDC. But vaginal births also occur less often on the weekend.
