COUSINS!!!!!

We have just finished up a super-fun visit with Aunt Jojo and her girls, Kinley and Kallen. I’m honestly not even sure when they were here last, but I know it had been over a year! We were so excited they were coming, and we had tons of fun while they were here!

They arrived Monday afternoon and stayed through Thursday. The weather was not cooperative enough to allow for much outdoor fun, so to break up the close quarters of having six kids aged four and under in the house, we went on a couple of outings.

Tuesday afternoon we took the kids to the discount movie theater to see The Princess and the Frog. It was the first trip ever to a movie theater for JonZReaTom! I was a little nervous, but hoped for a small crowd so there wouldn’t be that many people for us to disturb. We lucked out that they have a Tuesday special: popcorn for $1 and drinks for $1, so everybody got their very own popcorn which thrilled them to death! They had to share drinks though. The drinks were another first because they got Sprite. They’ve never had Sprite before, or any sodas for that matter! (How deprived are my children?!?) The “sour water,” as they called it, was a big hit, especially with Thomas who finished off his and Zachary’s, and then went hunting down the line for someone else’s drink to finish! In the end, the movie trip was a huge success! They had to be shushed a few times, but mostly their attention was held by the movie, and there were no major problems. Probably the biggest disturbance we caused was when Thomas needed to go to the potty. He and I were halfway up the aisle when Reagan started yelling after me, “Mommy! Where are you going? Mommy! Wait for me!” and raced up the aisle after us.

Wednesday we took the kids to the Children’s Museum in Oak Ridge. I had been there once before with the kids, and it was just as much fun this time! If you’ve never been and have young children, I highly recommend it! We had a blast! Unfortunately, I forgot my camera and had to take pics with my phone. I haven’t transferred those pics yet, so you’ll have to wait to see the kids playing on the big trains, in the life-size doll house, the rocketship, the castle, etc!

We also spent a lot of time at the house, enjoying family we don’t get to see nearly often enough! Here are a few shots of all the fun:
